 The Amarillo based organization
“Friends of Fogelberg” held its 1st Annual Golf Scramble on October 9, 2010 at Comanche Trail Golf Complex.
Along with the Great Palo Duro Prostate
Putting Relay on October 3, the group
raised $2,500, benefitting the Harrington
Cancer Center to battle prostate cancer.

In whatever way anyone would like to measure it, Thursday night's "Friends of Fogelberg" concert to benefit
local prostate cancer education and testing was a success beyond what most could measure.
The crowd? The Globe-News Center was virtually full.
The music? I should stop being amazed at the talent of local musicians community. There were the veterans
groups like Anderson, Flesher and Key and Insufficient Funds. But those like Mike Fuller, Bob Hopkins,
Kim Loe, James Davis and Magggie Scales-Peacock on violin got deserving standing ovations as they
played Fogelberg music.

History: Dan Fogelberg Tribute Concert 2008
Mission Accomplished!
Joe Ed Coffman has been a long time fan of Dan Fogelberg and his music. The news of Fogelberg’s death due to prostate cancer was a hard blow. Dan had played a strong influence on Joe Ed’s own music throughout the years and Joe Ed wanted to do something to celebrate Dan’s life and music. His desire to do this led to creating a tribute concert to honor Dan Fogelberg but, not just any concert, he wanted to create a fundraiser to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation in honor of Dan. And so the work began: making contacts with PCF and LivingLegacy.net; Amarillo area musicians; seed money donors; etc.
